Caredove is a browser based application, so no software installation is required to use Caredove. Because it’s built using web standards, Caredove runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android or any other device with a modern web browser.
Caredove supports the current and first previous major releases of the following browsers:
Safari (Macintosh only)
You should always use the most current version of your preferred browser. Your browser will notify you if there is a new version available.
A note regarding Internet Explorer:
Microsoft applications (such as online Word, Excel, etc.) no longer support Internet Explorer as of August 2021. Microsoft will end all support of Internet Explorer in June 2022. While Caredove may continue to function with Internet Explorer for the foreseeable future, we no longer provide application updates targeted to Internet Explorer compatibility.
As of February 18, 2022 any use of map functionality in Caredove (address searching, map population, etc.) is incompatible with Internet Explorer. To send a referral, we recommend using one of our supported browsers (i.e., Chrome, Edge).
Cookies must be enabled for Caredove to work properly for logged in users.
Browser Plugins and Extensions
Some browser plugins or extensions may conflict with Caredove and affect functionality. If you experience behavior that does not allow you to work properly in Caredove, please ensure you have disabled any extensions or plugins that interact directly with your web browser.
For troubleshooting, consider logging in to Caredove using an incognito or private browser window, which will provide a browser session without any prior browsing or search history, associated browser cookies, or other factors that may interfere with the browser. If you are able to view and participate in Caredove using an incognito or private browser window, the behavior you are experiencing is likely related to the browser and not Caredove.
Browser Privacy Settings
To ensure browser security, follow all browser security policies established by your organization, especially if you are using Caredove on a computer provided by your organization. Secured content is identified with the https:// prefix in the URL. Caredove only connects via HTTPS.
Browser Security - TLS
All current browsers support TLS 1.2+ by default. If you need to use an older browser this article describes how to manually enable TLS 1.2: https://afba.secure.force.com/MemberPortal/TLSVPage
To download referrals, users can copy/paste a custom output, or download as a PDF (for which a PDF reader is required, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader). APIs are also available for integration into other software solutions.
Most Caredove pages work on any screen size (including mobile and tablets).
Caredove is tested with the latest mobile based browsers on both iOS and Android mobile devices. The following browsers are supported:
Pro Tip: If Caredove starts to load slowly or offer a "page cannot be displayed" error, try clearing your cookies and cache and refreshing the page. If you're still having trouble, contact us using the messenger on bottom right of every screen.
