If you’re frequently getting logged out, it could be due to certain privacy settings or software that changes your browser’s "identity" mid-session. Here’s what you can do to troubleshoot:

Causes of Frequent Sign-Outs

Our system uses security checks to help ensure that only you have access to your account, and it may sign you out if something seems unusual, such as a change in your browser's “identity.” Common causes include:

  1. Privacy Browser Extensions/Add-ons: Ad blockers, anti-tracking tools, or privacy extensions may change how your browser identifies itself, which can trigger a logout.

  2. Anti-Tracking Privacy Software: Standalone privacy or anti-tracking software installed on your device may alter your browser’s settings as you browse, causing session interruptions.

  3. VPN Services: Certain VPN settings can still modify your browser’s identity and cause sign-outs.

  4. Operating System Privacy Features: Built-in privacy tools or settings on your device may affect how your browser connects to our system.

  5. Browser Privacy Modes or Settings: Some browsers or browser settings, such as private or incognito mode, automatically reset or change identity information, which can cause issues.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Switch to Google Chrome: If possible, use Google Chrome for the best experience with our platform.

  2. Check for Browser Extensions:

    • Review your extensions to see if any are privacy-focused (e.g., ad blockers or anti-tracking add-ons).

    • Temporarily disable extensions: Turn off these extensions one by one to see if the issue persists. If this fixes the issue, consider adjusting the settings on the extension.

  3. Adjust Privacy Software Settings:

    • If you use privacy software, try adding our website as a “trusted” site in the software settings.

    • Whitelisting our site can allow uninterrupted access without disabling the software entirely.

  4. Modify VPN Settings:

    • Disconnect from your VPN temporarily and see if the issue stops.

    • Some VPNs have settings to maintain consistency in your browser’s identification—check to see if this is an option in your VPN.

  5. Clear Your Cookies:

    • Cookies help store session information, and clearing them can sometimes resolve persistent logout issues.

    • Clear your cookies in your browser settings, then log back into your account.

  6. Try a Different Browser:

    • If the issue continues, you may want to try accessing your account on a different browser to see if that helps.
