Service listings play a crucial role in streamlining and centralizing service information within your organization. Setting up your Service Listings is one of the first steps to complete your onboarding training when you are a new customer and is maintained over time.
Service listings enable your organization to receive referrals. Accurate listings are a key element in receiving the right referrals. When referrers can view the best information about your program they're better able to refer the right clients, which means you can spend more of your time with the clients instead of dealing with inappropriate referrals.
As you create new service listings consider if each service should be directly bookable by the clients, internal team members, or just provided at an informational level.
💡 Tip: It's best practice to ensure at least one person from your organization is responsible for ensuring Service Listings are maintained over time.

Configure coverage area for each Service Listing
Services are considered to be Area-based 🏠 when they are provided within a specific geographical boundary, often involving visits to the client's home. Examples include in-home services, transportation services, or Meals on Wheels.
If your organization changes service areas please update the Caredove map to ensure that the correct clients are eligible to be referred to your services. See Configure Coverage Area for a detailed guide.
Writing Effective Service Descriptions
Service descriptions are the first thing people looking for service will read. It is really important that this quickly conveys the most important aspects of the service.
Configuring Eligibility
If not everyone meets the necessary conditions to receive your service, the eligibility field is where you can be crystal clear about what qualities clients MUST have to be referred to your organization's service.
Confirmation Emails - Footer Text
In the referrals section of the service listing, you can tailor the footer text of the confirmation email to meet specific client requirements.
You can also include attachments to provide additional information or resources.
To add an attachment in the footer of the confirmation email:
1. Upload the document to the service listing.
2. Copy the URL of this attachment by highlighting the title of the document, right click, and select 'Copy Link Address'.
3. Add this link into the 'URL' portion of the Template Attachment Link.
4. Add in the text that you want the attachment to display as in the 'Title of document/what you want the download link to say' field.
Template Attachment Link:
"<a href=URL>Title of document/what you want the download link to say</a>"
(remove quotations at either end)
