Configure Notifications for Non-Booked Referrals

Organization Administrator: Learn how to assign individuals to receive notifications for non-booked referrals.

All non-booked notifications are sent to users with Referral Delegate permissions at the recipient organization (unlike booked referrals where email notifications are sent to the appointment provider). To receive notifications for non-booked referrals, simply add Referral delegate permissions for the relevant users.

This helps to minimize confusion as "non-booked referrals" are marked "No Provider" in the system.

To configure a specific user to receive non-booked notifications for services in a calendar:

The toggle switch under No-Provider Notifications allows you to change the default recipient from "Referral Delegates" to "Users" for better control.

  1. Navigate to Settings in the top menu, and select Referrals from the drop-down.

  2. Scroll to the No-Provider Notifications section.

  3. Locate the toggle and switch it from Referral Delegates to Users.

  4. Type the name of the user into the text box to specify who should receive non-booked referrals for a calendar. The changes save automatically in Caredove.

💡 Notes:

  • If you have more than one active calendar, you can select different users for each calendar.

  • Selecting 'Users' rather than 'Referral Delegates' will limit the permissions to only those you select in the 'Users' field. It will not maintain permissions for the Referral Delegates as well.

This configuration facilitates targeted notifications, ensuring only relevant individuals are alerted, while reducing unnecessary communication clutter.

Ensure Email Notifications are On

To ensure full functionality of receiving email notifications for non-booked referrals, make sure that the correct notification settings are on.

  1. Go to your dashboard

  2. Select Email Notifications

  3. Ensure the correct email notifications are active
