Appointment Locations define how and where appointments can be delivered for a calendar. These options are used when creating appointments and allow staff to specify whether an appointment is offered in person, virtually, by phone, or at a specific address.
Examples include:
In-person at a specific address
Phone call to the registrant
Virtual visit (for example, Zoom or Microsoft Teams*)
Home visit
* Virtual appointments (Zoom & Microsoft Teams)
Caredove supports virtual locations using Zoom or Microsoft Teams. These integrations automatically generate meeting links and attach them to each appointment. Zoom and Microsoft Teams integrations are available on the Advanced subscription plan.
Configure appointment locations
To manage appointment locations:
Go to Settings → Calendar
Select the calendar you want to update
Scroll to Appointment Locations
Enable, disable (toggle between Yes and No), or choose to Add Appointment Location, as needed.
When you create a new appointment, the enabled appointment locations appear as selectable options in the appointment setup screen.
This allows staff to choose the correct delivery method for each appointment.
Enable multiple location options
If a service can be delivered in more than one way at the same time (for example, in person or virtually), make sure Enable multiple location options is turned on.
When enabled:
Multiple appointment locations can be selected for a single appointment
Registrants or referrers can choose their preferred option during booking
If this option is turned off, only one appointment location can be selected per appointment.
Pro tip: Use clear, descriptive names for appointment locations so it’s obvious to registrants how the appointment will be delivered. The location will be displayed in the confirmation/reminder emails.
You can now select the Location from the Appointment set-up Wizard. Learn how to add appointments.
