FaxTastic is available only to organizations on the Advanced CBO subscription. Caredove staff must enable the feature for your organization. Contact us if you'd like it turned on.
↗️ Step 1: Start an upload
From any referral inbox, click Action → Upload Internal Referral.
📄 Step 2: Choose a service and upload your fax
Select the service you're referring to, then upload the fax. PDF is the preferred format.
Note: Larger files take longer to upload, so give big faxes a moment to finish. You can continue other Caredove work on another browser tab.
👓 Step 3: Review the fax
The review screen has two views:
Extracted data shows the details Caredove read from the fax. This is the quickest way to validate the fax's information and log the referral.
Form shows the service's chosen referral form. If the standard service request flow includes Eligibility, Service Options, or Referral Options, you'll be asked to complete those first before getting to the form screen.
Each value read from the fax has a confidence percentage. Use it to spot which values may need a second look.
✅ Step 4: Review the extracted referral data
Move your cursor over the image of the fax on the left hand side to zoom in on the PDF. You can verify the information on the screen and correct any fields that may be incorrect.
🏁 Step 5: Submit and finish
After you submit, a confirmation appears in the same panel. Click Done to close it and refresh your inbox. Your new referral will appear there.
If you didn't choose the service's referral form at the start, you can open the referral and click Add Form to attach it.
Once it's in your inbox, the "From" column will show with the Requester's name, along with the name of the staff member who logged the fax.
